A packable five-panel rope cap with a soft, unstructured shape. Inspired by the International Scout, Scout Ultrasuede® brings classic rope-hat styling and technical materials to weekend getaways and everyday wear.

  • Exterior: 90% recycled nylon / 10% spandex with a durable water-repellent (DWR) coating.
  • Headband: Toray Ultrasuede® with a debossed logo and no itchy tags.
  • Brim: Soft, pre-curved EVA.
  • Closure: Adjustable clip closure with elastic.
  • Details: Decorative rope, a top button, six eyelets, and a discreet logo on the back tab.

Features

-Ultrasuede® headband with debossed logo - no itchy tags! It has a smooth yet plush feel, comfortable in any climate, and resistant to odors and stains.
-Wrinkle-resistant exterior made from 90% recycled nylon and 10% spandex with a premium soft touch. We finished it with a durable water repellent (DWR) coating and anti-odor treatment.
-Pre-curved EVA brim for a classic look that’s crushable, pliable, and most notably, floats. It’s offers protection from the sun without sacrificing comfort.
-Adjustable clip closure with the addition of elastic for some give. Clip it to your backpack or belt loop when not in use.
-Minimal branding with a discrete external logo on a small back tab.
-5 panels
-Unstructured surf hat fit (it has a mesh lining inside the front panel)
-Rope for aesthetics.
-6 eyelets for added breathability.

We wanted to wear a classic rope hat with a soft EVA brim. But turns out, no one makes them. So we decided to change that.

My new favorite hat

I'm a picky hat guy with a big head. It's hard to find a hat that looks good, feels good and isn't a pain to take care of. First impression when I put it on: headband feels reaaal nice. Dare I say, luxurious? The material of the hat itself is flexible yet holds it's shape, and it's held up nicely overtime. This is a hat that will end up in your regular rotation and last a long time. Pro tip: get two in different colors to make coordinating outfits super easy. Or so you actually have one to wear after your girlfriend "borrows" yours.

My New Favorite Hat

It’s still early but this maybe my new favorite hat. I love the look, the sizing, and the weight. The fabric is lighter than expected and the bill will need adjusting to make sure the crease is middle not off-center. Easy fix. Seams inside aren’t finished but won’t matter. The true test of any hat is the wear in the middle of a hot summer after a long day sweating outside. The front two gussets show open air when looked through although the back four do not. I’m not sure if that is by design or sewing inconsistencies. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase and thankful to have used a code for a small discount. The customer service communication was excellent. I received email along every step of the process waiting for my hat before Christmas. It arrived on Dec 26. Scott told me the delay was due to shipping delays receiving them from overseas. I ordered on December 2 and my hat arrived 24 days later.

I hope they will release a navy and more darker colors. Everyone loves a lighter hat until it stains or soaks up hand/face oils.

In summary, I’m a fan and am excited to watch GETAWAY add more colors and options to their offerings while working out shipping logistics to continue providing an excellent product with their already excellent customer service. For comparison my favorite trucker hat before this one is Sunday Afternoons trucker.
