What makes Getaway Hats different?
Our hats are designed for travel. They’re anti-crease, packable, sweat-stain resistant, anti-odor, and built to rebound back to shape after being stuffed in a backpack or luggage. We’ve refined them through multiple Kickstarter campaigns to solve every common complaint about hats.
Do Getaway Hats protect against the sun?
Yes. All of our hats are rated UPF 50, which means they block 98% of harmful UV rays. Whether you’re hiking, exploring a city, or lounging on the beach, your Getaway Hat has you covered with the highest level of sun protection built right into the fabric.
Do Getaway Hats really not crease?
Yes. Our proprietary NoCrease™ Panel and lightweight fabrics mean the hat won’t lose its shape, even if you sit on it, pack it flat, or cram it in your bag.
What sizes do the hats come in?
Most styles come in One Size Fits Most with an adjustable strap. Select styles also offer multiple sizes (check each product page for details).
Are your hats unisex?
Yes. Every style is designed to look great on anyone.
Do you make other products besides hats?
Right now, hats are our specialty. We’re exploring limited drops in travel apparel, but headwear is our core focus.

We ship worldwide from Philadelphia, PA.
Are they machine washable?
Yes. All Getaway Hats are machine washable, quick drying, and built to handle real adventures.
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, and air dry. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
Where did the idea come from?
Getaway Hats was born out of frustration with hats that crease, stain, and don’t travel well. We launched on Kickstarter, where thousands of backers helped bring the first packable, travel-proof hats to life.
